Hilton Jackson instructing a Texas License to Carry class at a DFW area range

Texas License to Carry

Texas LTC Class
in Dallas-Fort Worth

Get your Texas License to Carry with a state-approved, NRA and USCCA certified instructor. Small group sizes, individual coaching, and a complete understanding of Texas handgun law — all in one day.

More Than a Certificate — a Real Understanding of What You're Carrying

Hilton Jackson has been teaching the Texas LTC class across the Dallas-Fort Worth area for years — not because it is a revenue stream, but because he believes that people who carry firearms should genuinely understand the law and the responsibility that comes with it. He is a Texas DPS Licensed LTC Instructor, NRA and USCCA Certified Instructor, Level III and IV Security Officer, and Licensed Private Investigator. He has worked alongside law enforcement, trained church security teams, and spent years in community safety education. That background shapes how he teaches.

The LTC class is not a box to check. It is the beginning of a serious commitment — and we treat it that way. We keep group sizes small so every student gets real attention, not just a seat in a crowded room. By the end of the day, you will have completed the 50-round qualification course with an instructor watching your technique and coaching you through it. You will leave knowing Texas handgun law, not just the answers to the written test.

We schedule classes at ranges that are convenient for the group — wherever students are coming from across the metroplex, from Arlington and Fort Worth to Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Irving, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, DeSoto, Duncanville, Mesquite, and the HEB area. If you are a first-time gun owner or an experienced shooter who has simply never gotten around to getting licensed, call or text us and we will find the next session that works for you.

What Makes This Class Different

There are plenty of places to take a Texas LTC class in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Most of them will get you a certificate. What we are trying to do is something different — we want you to leave this class actually knowing what you are doing. That means we do not rush. We do not pack thirty people into a room and hand out paperwork. We teach, we answer questions, and we make sure no one leaves uncertain about something they should know.

Our students leave knowing Texas law — not just the answers to the written test. They leave having fired the qualification course with a certified instructor watching their form and correcting it in real time. And they leave with something harder to quantify: the confidence that comes from genuinely understanding what it means to carry a firearm responsibly.

For many students, the LTC class is the beginning of a longer relationship with us. A lot of people go on to take Concealed Carry Fundamentals, Home Defense training, or Private 1-on-1 coaching. We are here for that — not just for the one day, but for wherever your training takes you next. That is the kind of organization we are trying to be.
